• Temporarily keep a much mall "residual" force to fight terrorists, but no permenant bases
• Opposed going to war with Iraq in 2002

John McCain's thoughts on the war in Iraq...

• Withdraw if Iraq is secure, no timetables
• Would support a non-combat troop presence in Iraq, unless Iraqis want us to leave
• Supported going to war with Iraq in 2002
• Believes our inital stratagy  in Iraq was a failure but that the troop surge is succeeding 

 I think that the war in Iraq is senceless. All the war in Iraq has done for our country was raise the prices of everything and get soldiers killed. We never caught Osama Bin Laden but we go to Iraq. We are wasting our energy in Iraq. Sadam is gone. We helped the Iraqi people. But why did we go in the first place? Well reports say that Iraq had wepons of mass destruction and that they threatened to use them against us. So six years later, where are the wepons of mass destruction. We never found any. So we go to war on a false claim. We need to get the a CIA opertive to search so we can validate the claim before we go to war and lives are lost. We have lost many troops in Iraq. They should let the Iraqi military take over. It is time to come home. 

  I think Barrack Obama is the best choice for president. He wants to bring the troops home. He has the same idea as me, we should have never should have even gone to Iraq. If i were you I'd vote for Barrack Obama to be the President of the United States so we can end the war.
